From July 1 to 7, 2022, the Cultural and Artistic Society "Sveti Sava" will host the 10th International Folklore Festival - Belgrade Award.
This event was declared one of the five best FIDAF shows in the world. The best world ensembles will gather in Belgrade and present the local audience with the traditions and culture of the world through dance, song and music. Participants of the festival are folklore ensembles from Mexico, Romania, Tunisia, Turkey, Poland, Greece, India, Moldova, Bulgaria, Indonesia and Serbia.
The gala competition program is scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, from 8:00 p.m., at Republic Square, and the concerts will also be held in Belgrade at the Children's Cultural Center of Belgrade, on July 2, from 8:00 p.m. (when the festival opens), and on July 4 (20.00) on the plateau in front of GO Zvezdar.
The Belgrade Award Caravan will be on July 3 in Ĺ abac, and on July 5 in Svilajnec. The final competition concert on the Republic Square will begin with a parade through Knez Mihailova Street from 19:00 (a walk to the Republic Square, where the concert program will be held, is planned). Also, on July 6, before the international competition, a national competition of folklore ensembles from Serbia will be held, and the winner will represent Serbia in the international part of the "Belgrade Award" competition in 2023.
This year, on the occasion of celebrating the event's jubilee, the guest of Belgrade and the president of the FIDAF sector for Europe, Katalin Oancea, will magnify the event with his presence, but will also give his assessment of the event at the FIDAF Congress, which will be held in mid-September, and at which the best of the world will be chosen. festivals for 2021/22. a year.
